A Color Story: Photo + Video App Reviews

This is the perfect editing app! Im so happy I found it.

This app is only technically free. Once you download the "free" app, you have to download in-app purchases to get most of the filters and effects. I almost deleted it immediately. But I said Ill give it a chance and pay to download one of the packs of filters -- and they looked very, very similar the free ones. Plus, both the free filters and the ones I paid for look a lot like Instagrams native filters. Finally, the interface is not really user-friendly. Summary: There are better photo apps that are truly free, or with better (and fewer) in-app purchases.

I love all of the preset filters on this app. I even purchased the bundle for all additional filters and effects. It was absolutely worth it. My photos look even better now. Easy to use and a very attractive interface. Clean and crisp.

This app beats them all! I used to use Afterlight and VSCO but from now on I will only use this app. Love it!

Im appreciating this app ... luv the ISO, focus, exposure. I hope the integrity continues.

This is the best photo editing software Ive used -including Photoshop! The extra "pro" editing tools, like curves and hue shifts, make this an essential buy for anyone who is serious about editing

I love all the filter packs. I no longer use the other famous photo-editing app because this is now my favorite.

Crashes every time I click the effect, and has lame filters..they all look the same

I really ❤️ this app- its changed my Instagram game, however I would love it even more if it didnt set the flash to on as default in the camera mode. Otherwise, its a great photo app!

Love the filters and the ability to tweak to my liking. So far no complaints.

I look forward to any and all updates with the app cos it can only get better. Lovely, simple filters that you can add quickly to share your photos fast rather than diddling forever trying to get your photo just right. Good work!

Im a graphic designer and photographer so being picky with photo apps has always been a personal struggle. Believe me, Ive downloaded them all. I had about 10 photo editing apps and I just deleted most of them after getting this one! This app pretty much fulfills everything Ive looked for in a photo editing app! And its new so Im only going to assume it will get better. For one, Im a die hard dedicated VSCO user. Nothing pleases me more than naturally filtered and aesthetically appealing photography. Vsco manages to do this well with their plethora of filters. But Color Story takes it one step further by allowing you to change the curves in its toolkit. This is huge for photographers and designers in my opinion. You can change the curve settings just as you would in Photoshop. I generally never use all the filters but another thing that Color Story implements is complete customization. You can layer filters on top of other filters without much quality loss! This is something I wish vsco would implement as i would always have to save, then re upload if I wanted to use multiple filters. Plus in this app you can save any customizations as a preset so your photos will all look similar! This app is honestly my favorite photo app so far and thats coming from someone who is extremely picky and has been experimenting with every photo app imaginable. And the entire 92 filter pack was $8 btw which I honestly think its a steal. Hopefully this app only gets better and better. Ps, I still use vsco of course. They are two different apps and Im not saying this app is "better" its just different. But it has features that Id say is better if you only wanted to invest in one app.

I love it! Its easy to use and my photos print out seamlessly.

Beware! I bought all the filters and some how my app deleted and I tried to restore them and it wouldnt let me! Which is kind of BS if you ask me.. U pay a near $8.00 for filters and you cant even have them saved??? Yea no thanks... And if you can have them saved I am not aware because Ive tired everything and still nothing.. Maybe it needs some fixing.

Since downloading A Color Story, Ive completely forgotten my other photo editing apps. Its seriously the only app I use to make my photos look amazing!

Ive only had this app for a couple days but Im loving it! So many fun options that really make my photos pop. I decided to buy the limited pack so I could have all options. There are plenty of options for those who dont want to buy but I completely recommend it!

I love the app, its amazing, its good, but what the app could really work on is other than just moving around and adjusting the effects it would be good if it could also be resizable (plus the all of the effects).

I love this app! its always so hard to get bright whites & contrasty tones with other pre-made filters. I love how easy it is to use. my only request is that there be a grid on the tilt tab of the crop/adjust feature. it would be much easier to make sure my photo is straight! love it! well done team! ❤️

Loving this app so far. All of the edits and light leaks are lovely.

I bought all the filters offered when the app released. Today I tried to download the free pack and eventually had to delete the app because it wouldnt download. When I reloaded the app I got the free pack but all of my other packages are gone. Its acting like Ive never purchased them. There also isnt a restore previous purchases, at least that I can find, like the other app has. :(
